Rob Klepper has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Political Science from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ. 

 

Rob’s career in Motorsports started in 1996 as a USAC Crew Chief for his brother Clay Klepper. He has extensive knowledge and experience in open-wheel racing on dirt and pavement and had multiple wins as a crew chief. Rob has worked on Midgets, Sprint Cars, Silver Crown Cars, Mini-Sprints, and Micros.

 

His announcing career began in 2002 as a PA announcer at various tracks in his home state of California before becoming the first traveling announcer for the All Star Circuit of Champions in 2003. During his 3 year stint with the All Stars, Rob announced live at the track while “simulcasting” each event live on the internet. In 2006, Rob left the All Stars to become the first national traveling announcer for the United States Auto Club (USAC) calling Midget, Sprint and Silver Crown events from coast to coast. That same year his career in television began alongside veteran broadcaster Jack Arute on the "USAC Thunder" broadcasts for The Outdoor Channel. He also created/wrote/produced/hosted a live 2 hour “USAC Racing” Radio Show each week. 

 

Rob has continued his career in motorsports television covering virtually anything and everything. From two-wheels to four, dirt to pavement, demolition derby to drag boats, mini-sprints to modifieds, and snowmobiles to sprint cars. In 2020, he became a licensed Real Estate Broker and in 2021 became the house announcer for the brand new Xtreme Outlaw Midget & Sprint Series from the World Racing Group. Most recently in 2022, it was a return to The Outdoor Channel as Rob hosted a competition show called "Overlanders" airing Summer of 2023.

Rob Klepper is often considered one of the best Jr. Skeet Shooters of all time. Of his Nine Jr. World Championships, he is the only 3-Time World Jr. High Over All Champion which came in a record setting three consecutive years. Rob also established the best HOA score shot at the Jr. World Championships with a 399x400, a score that has been tied 4 times since but never beaten. In addition to numerous California State and Zone 7 Jr. HOA & Gun Championships, he is also an Open CA State 28 Gauge & 12 Gauge Champion. He trained twice at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO while participating in the 1989 Jr. Olympics. When in college he formed the first Shotgun Shooting team at Arizona State University competing at the ACUI National Shoot for 3 years.

 

Rob grew up on the family farm in Caruthers, CA growing grapes, cotton, alfalfa and almonds. He played several sports starting at 5 years old through High School and into college including Soccer, Baseball, Track, Basketball, Tennis and Football where he was part of the 1990 Caruthers High School California State Championship Football Team.

 

Rob is married with two boys and currently resides in Brownsburg, IN.
